Cet article se concentre sur les recherches que Charles S. Peirce a consacrées à l’étude des relations iconiques que les signes entretiennent avec ce dont ils sont à propos : leur objet. Après une rapide présentation technique de la théorie générale qui sera progressivement focalisée sur les images, diagrammes et métaphores, l’étude sera appliquée à la production graphique d’un enfant qui offre un bon exemple de la polygraphie humaine. L’étude en elle-même suit la temporalité métabolique du processus sémiotique et interprétatif de l’analyse des signes et des discours, et s’inspire des recherches en sciences cognitives

Abstract:
Theoretical and applied semiotics of iconic signs: image, diagram and metaphor.
This article focuses on the researches that Charles S. Peirce has devoted to the study of the iconic relationship that signs have with what they are about: their object. After a brief technical presentation of the general theory, which will gradually focus on images, diagrams and metaphors, the study will be applied to the graphic production of a child who offers a good example of human polygraphy. The study itself follows the metabolic temporality of the semiotic and interpretative process of sign and discourse analysis and is based on research in the cognitive sciences.
